Midwest Ag Energy Network Goals
The Midwest Ag Energy Network Summit was held in St. Paul in December 2006. The goals of the Network are to:
- Act as a vehicle for farm groups and key partners to share information and perspectives and jointly develop and evaluate policy options.
- Provide leadership within Midwestern agricultural organizations and constituencies regarding policy goals and tools needed to achieve those goals.
- Be a policy incubator, where policy options are surfaced, researched, debated and shared widely with participating groups.
- Serve as a clearinghouse for information on policy and ideas for participating groups and individual farmers interested in advancing renewable energy development.
- Unite members behind the goal of building strong rural economies through renewable energy development.
