For the second year in a row, Will Steger toured several locally-owned renewable energy sites in Southern Minnesota. These expeditions focus on economic and energy opportunities for Minnesota’s rural communities while emphasizing that Minnesota farmers and their communities hold the key to global warming solutions. Rural communities lead the way in wind power, ethanol, biodiesel, and methane digester development and offer economic opportunity to their communities while bringing cleaner air and energy independence to the nation.
The tour stops included:
- 27th Annual FarmFest in Redwood County
- A public forum at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in New Ulm
- Farmers Union Industries Northland Biodiesel Plant in Redwood Falls
- The Chippewa Valley Ethanol Plant in Benson
